Mary Kay





Sorry everyone. I'm busy with my Marykay business lately. Thats why I seldom post my good food up late. I'm so happy with this age fighting product called time wise. Cos I really sees the result on my face, my winkles are really lighten, all my big pores are getting smaller and my pigmentation is going lighter. The result is tremendously good. Sorry for not up date my blog lately. I wonder if any of you out there have this problem like me. Alot of things in hand to update on blog but too busy til I really can't help my self to blog. I'm really busy with MaryKay business lately. I just done my lolly biscuit and cupcake for my chursh parish sales last week. Really too rush and tired to take a good photo. I slept for 4 hours to prepared all the goodies. Thank God I have MaryKay to pampered my tired face. I'll just post up my photo if anyone of you would like the recipes just let me know. Cos I'm too busy to type now.

Chef of the week!



Last week end Daddy is the chef for hold Sunday. Lo Shu Fun for our lunch and very very delicious burger for our dinner. My little one ate everything on her plate even the lettuce that really amazed me! Which she don like vege which mummy always have to make up story to tell her vege make her pretty like princess. She told us daddy cook nice food and mummy bake nice cake! She compliment both of us indeed of just telling daddy's cooking is nice! She even said daddy is a chef.

Durian Glutinous Rice


INGREDIENT:

300gm Glutinous rice

150ml Thick coconut milk

200 gm Durian pulp

SEASONING:

40 gm Sugar

50 ml Pandan juice

METHOD:

1. Rinse and soak glutinuos rice in water for 2 hours Rinse, drain and steam for 20 minutes.

2. Combine steamed glutinous rice with coconut milk and Seasonng. Cook till fairly dry in pot              then add the durian pulp and cook till  the mixture becoming sticky ball. Remove and let cool.      Spoon mixture into small cups/mould.

* To make pandan juice, blend 4 pieces of pandan leaves with water. Strain the mixture.

Moulded Glutinous Rice

My grand mother is a nyonya. I wish I found the wedding photo so that I can post up and show to all of you how lovely she is. Heard from my parent that she cooks a lot. As usual nyonya women cooks and make kuih. But unfortunately I never have a chance to met her. She died before my mom married to my father. This is one of the command kuih that they make to worship their ancestor. Got this recipes from a book call Make your own pastry.

Yam Swiss Roll



Ingredients:
5 Eggs
100 gm Caster Sugar
1 tsp Yam Essence
120 gm Plain Flour
70 gm Butter (melted)
Filling:
300 gm Cooked Yam (mashed)
100 gm Fresh Cream (Whipped)
1/2 tsp Yam Essence
Method:
  1. Preheat Oven to 200'C ; grease 25 x 35cm (10 x 14-in) baking tin; line with baking paper.
  2. Using electri mixer on full speed, beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in Yam essence, mix well. Gently fold in sifted flour, add in melted butter, mix until well combined.
  3. Spread mixture into tin. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Leaves to cool.
  4. To make filling, combine cooked and mashed yam with whipped cream and essence.
  5. Turn cake onto paper, spread with yam cream. Roll gently from wide end, using paper to lift cake and guide roll.
